Clooney's description of character Jay Kelly reminds me of Trump

Reading this article about George Clooney’s' new character Jay Kelley and I honestly think something he says is actually spot on when it comes to Donald Trump.

““I read the script, and there was a part of me that went, ‘Does he think this is who I am?’” Clooney says. “Because I knew Noah a little bit, and this character’s deeply unhappy and kind of a jerk. But then I thought it might be fun to play someone who thinks he’s a good guy, but everything he touches, he destroys.””

This is likely how Trump sees himself–as a good guy. I know that’s how his followers see him. I recently went to Christmas dinner with someone who had on their Trump Christmas sweater, which says a lot about how they view him even now. They all see him as a good person and some obviously see fit to make him into a god or their Christian prophet at the least.

So maybe that’s the parallel with some who seek wealth, power and fame. Trump isn’t the first and he won’t be the last.
