The Right has their bitter salty memes but they’ll never win the culture.
The stupidest remark I’ve heard this year has got to be Dr. Oz using the term “under-babied.”
The internet of the 90’s had a sense of wonder that I don’t think will be seen again. Twitter in 2007 had that feeling as well but that’s also lost. Anything new that gets corporatized loses that.
I was reading a Substack from Public Notice and they were talking about conservative culture. They mentioned Angel Studios and I cringe at all of the content the produce. It is well produced but is not accepted by the mainstream culture entirely. It’s like Kirk Cameron making a kids show. Ugh.
The problem the Right has with culture. You see, the other half of the country (more like 60%) doesn’t want to be a part of your idea of culture. You might win or steal elections but you’ll never get a majority to accept you culturally.
From the People’s March in January of 2025. How many people really thought Trump’s tariffs were a good idea then I wonder.
If you polled MAGA and asked them would they want Trump as the first king of the United States they all would say yes, we want him as King.
I agree I’d never invest in SpaceX not even on a micro level with Robin Hood or etc. fortune.com/2026/05/2…
I wonder if people i.e. the Democrats are starting to realize that politics on social media is like the WWE. It’s not a forum for debate and discussion. Well, with the exception of Bluesky and Mastodon. Everything else is about pwning your enemy. MAGA is the enemy now and always act accordingly.
An update to the classic Man Bites Dog.
