Looks like Trump really was Bored of Peace.
The citizens of superpowers like the USA are insulated from what their governments do in their name. They can go to brunch, shop, or go to dinner at Olive Garden while bombs drop and people are burned and buried under rubble. They don’t worry about retaliation or blowback-though it can happen.

George HW Bush told the Kurds to “rise up” and they were slaughtered with no help from America. Afghanistan is now back in the hands of the Taliban. Trump wants Iranians to rise up. Yeah they’re better off leaving Iran if they can get out right now.
During the Arab spring there was hope that Iranians were going to be able to overthrow the regime like what happened in Egypt. It didn’t work out that way and America didn’t help them then, either. Now you want them to take on the Iranian military on their own again?
Trump keeps telling the Iranian people to “rise up” and take their country back? Why would they? So they can be abandoned down the road? The Iranian military still has all the guns last I checked.
No, I won’t sign your petition because Trump bombed Iran. I have Schumer and Jeffries who can do better–write strongly worded letters.
Regime change does not grant you a Nobel Peace Prize. A FIFA prize maybe.
The disconnect between the Trump regime and everyday Americans is till wild to me. War has broken out but you’d never know in Arlington, VA we’re getting our brunch on. But this is what it was like in 2003 during Iraqi Freedom as well.
In 2004 when we’d be out protesting the Iraq war, in NY there would be people who supported that war because they equated it with 9/11. These are the same people who probably voted for Trump in 2016 even though he was supposedly “against war.” Now they’ll cheerlead for war in Iran.
